Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA) organized a Seminar entitled “The Untapped Energy Mine: The Revolutionary Scope of Renewable Energy to Fight Climate Change, Revitalize the Economy and Gain Energy Independence for Bangladesh?” on 11 August 2012, Saturday at 10-00 a.m. at the Seminar Room (first floor) of the Senate Bhavan, Dhaka University, Dhaka. The program was presided over by the BAPA President Mr. ASM Shahjahan while BAPA General Secretary Dr. Mohd. Abdul Matin was the moderator. Dr. Sajed Kamal’ teacher on “Sustainable International Development Program” of Brandeis University, Massachusetts, USA delivered the key note presentation. Dr. Md. Saiful Hoque (Institute of Renewable Energy, Dhaka University), Prof. Anu Mohammed (Department of Economics, Jahangir Nagar University), Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman (Department of Applied Physics, Dhaka University), Dr. Khorsheedul Islam (Senior Adviser, GTZ) spoke as the designated speakers.
