Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA) organized an important and informative Seminar on 31st August 2012, Friday at 10 a.m. at Conference Lounge (first floor), National Press Club, Topkhana Road, Dhaka-1000, entitled: “Ice Melting in Antarctica and Climate Change Impacts on the Earth & Bangladesh.” Dr. Hasan Mahmud spoke on the subject as the key presenter at the event. Eminent environmentalists Prof. Nazrul Islam, former Chairman of University Grants Commission & retired teacher of the department of Environment & Geography, Dhaka University; Prof. M. Feroze Ahmed, retired teacher of BUET & renowned water expert and Dr. Mohd. Abdul Matin, General Secretary of BAPA participated as the designated discussants. The program was presided over by the BAPA President Mr. ASM Shahjahan.
